Leah Heiss - Elastic Field

Elastic Field is a body of work that experiments with the expansion of traditional notions of space through the development of electronically enhanced garments and artefacts.

My practice operates at the nexus between electronics, design and spatial investigation - utilising technologies to create potent human scale projects. I am currently collaborating with Nanotechnology Victoria to develop jewellery which seeks to explore the emotional aspect of therapeutic technologies.

“The boundaries between things are disappearing, the subject and the
world are no longer separate, time seems to stand still.”

- Ernst Mach in Paul Virillio’s Vision Machine
